Regional Groups | TrentAngela Kent Summary Annual ReportThe TRENT PSIGE group comprises psychologists working across six Trusts and currently has a membership of approximately 38. The group has met over the last 12 months at The Forest, in Mansfield. Attendance at these quarterly meetings has been variable which seemed to be a result of the time and energy needing to be invested into the National Conference, a significant change in membership and subsequent ambiguity regarding the roles within and function of the group. Over the last twelve months Trent PSIGE has met on four occasions: On the 26th September (presentation by Connie Cahill on a psychosocial memory rehabilitation group evaluation), the 3rd December and on the 6th February all at Mansfield. Attendance at these meetings was poor, e.g. 7 in December, 4 in February. On the 24th June a review day took place at Barnsley Hospice (attendance of 20). Cath Burley attended from National PSIGE to provide us with a timely update from which to base our ideas for future topics and organisation of the TRENT Group. A group was formed following this day to undertake the task of planning the content of future PSIGE meetings and arrange speakers. This group met up for the first time on 23rd July 2008 and plans for meetings for 2009 are well underway. The group is due to meet again on the 8th September and the 8th December at Mansfield. |
