Bob Woods and Mike Bird will be running two half-day workshops on dementia on 14th June in Bristol and there will be input on dementia at the December DCP conference.
Discussions are taking place with the Dementia Services Development Centre in Scotland regarding the possibility of a joint event between DSDC and PSIGE and the written document on a stepped approach to challenging behaviour is in progress.

Gemma Murphy and Don Brechin (Committee members and Project Group) are currently working on a Briefing Paper, which will follow a stepped approach to challenging behaviour. Other aspects of the dementia care pathway were discussed, including communication.
A half-day workshop on dementia is planned on 14th June 2012 prior to the Annual Conference in Bristol. A symposium is being planned for the DCP Annual Conference in December. Deatails of any other scientific meetings arranged within the workstream will appear on the website.
So far, several PSIGE members have sent in brief summaries of projects they are involved in. If these members wish, we will post a brief summary on the website, so that members can contact each other. Please contact me about this using the form below.
