You do not have to be a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) to be a member of the PSIGE/ Faculty for the Psychology of Older People(FPoP). However, membership does bring a number of benefits.
Although historically, the Faculty has run its own finances and kept its own membership list, since 2010 these functions have been adopted by the BPS. The Faculty's treasurer, Neil Watson, has regular contact with the financial office and the Faculty chair, Becci Dow, is also in close contact with the BPS.
The FPoP endeavours to maintain close links with colleagues in other specialties through its relationship with the DCP.
